Influences
The exhibition begins with the section named ¡°Influences,¡± which displays Tim Burton¡¯s earliest works and ideas. ¡°I was not
a verbal communicator growing up, so drawing was a form of communication for me.¡± As Tim Burton felt more relaxed when
expressing his artistic inspiration through painting, this section is full of sketches. The reason why this section got the name
¡°Influences¡± is that Tim Burton¡¯s earliest works were heavily influenced by cartoonists and illustrators such as Edward Gorey,*
CharlesAddams,*andTheodorGeisel.*VisitorscanalsocheckoutTimBurton¡¯snotepadsfullofsketcheshemadebyhandwhen
