HUFS’ unique, unparalleled global culture
Campus life
HUFS students establish their own values and chart their futures through diverse cultural experiences.
Interacting and communicating with international students from over 100 countries around the world,
they create a unique culture at HUFS. They are encountering a bigger world outside the lecture rooms.
International Student Organization (ISO)
The International Student Organization (ISO) is composed of HUFS students and
international students in about 20 language zones. ISO helps international students
adapt to life in Korea and also teaches Korean literacy skills and provides orientation
to Korean culture for migrant workers and those living on the margins of society who
strive to understand the world more deeply.
HUFS International Model U.N (HIMUN)
The General Assembly of the HUFS International Model United Nations (HIMUN) was
first held in 1959 and was the first academic event in Korea conducted in foreign
languages. Every year, talented students with a variety of perspectives are selected
at universities around the country and brought together to take active part in a direct
decision-making process and gain working-level experience in international affairs
in order to develop their international insight and proactively prepare them for the
globalized world.
World Folk Culture and Art Festival
The World Folk Culture and Art Festival is HUFS’ representative culture and art event.
It serves as a stage to experience languages, cultures, and traditions of most parts
of the world. It affords opportunities to experience the world up close to the general
public and students alike.
HUFS World Cup
nitiated by the soccer club in 1981, the HUFS World Cup offers an excellent
opportunity to players of every department to win honor for their own departments
and improve their health by using all their abilities, while learning the significance of
organizational power and teamwork.
