With the firm belief that the campus infrastructure should be continually upgraded to build up confidence
and status as a prestigious university, HUFS has been moving to keep its infrastructure state-of-the-art. To
help students gain ample hands-on experience and develop realistic global perspectives, HUFS continues to
improve its educational facilities and is creating a student-oriented educational environment.
GlobeeDorm, an international dormitory
HUFS built GlobeeDorm, an international dormitory with a comfortable living environment
implies plants, trees, flowers, etc. That is conducive to Korean students experiencing
daily life together with international students and interacting with them. This T-shaped
dormitory building has 12 floors. Floor 1 to Floor 4 accommodate students, and floors
5 to 12 are an English-only dormitory. Currently, over 700 people including foreign
students, Korean students, and faculty members live at GlobeeDorm. Each floor has
such convenience facilities as a rest area, study room, and laundry room.
HUFS Study Cafe
Located on the third floor of the Student Hall, the Study Cafe has study rooms for
small group discussions, seats for wireless Internet access, a large-screen TV linked to
the in-school satellite broadcasting facility, rest areas furnished with comfortable sofas,
and the Job Cafe space offering up-to-date recruitment information where students
can exchange information and have discussions on job searches.
Law Library
The law library was established in August 2007 to support the training of legal
professionals with top-notch global acumen. Its collection includes 70,000 volumes
including 1,700 books on international law and regional law, 3,000 books on languages
and dictionaries, and more than 150 journals on international law and domestic law. It
also has an Internet data search room and free reading rooms.
Multimedia Education Center
The Multimedia Education Center is the backbone of e-learning at HUFS. It provides
learner-centered educational services. The Multimedia Education Support Team there
provides lecture monitoring service, produces multimedia contents, purchases 32)
Audio- and Video-on-Demand materials, and operates the multimedia materials lending
room. Its Cyber Education Center establishes and operates a cyber lecture system.
Aekyung Hall, an international conference hall
Aekyung International Conference Hall was opened on April 23, 1997 to establish the
kind of cutting-edge infrastructure necessary for international conferences, big and
small, and to train the kind of highly skilled conference interpreters needed for the
global era. It provides an optimal environment for international conferences including
academic seminars, and for fostering of international conference interpreters.
