oo-chang was not able to immediately leave when

was taken. Without any symptoms, passengers were told to
line up and download the self-diagnosis application. Soo-
chang filled out the necessary information required by the
app: personal information such as name, phone, passport
number, and the location of his self-quarantine. This was
double checked by an administrator. The airport asked for
emergency contact information, who needed to pick up the
phone that moment in order to be approved. Lastly, Soo-
chang was informed to visit a nearby health center within
three days of his arrival and a notice containing all of the
informationabovewasgiven.
Afterthatnothingseemedoutoftheordinary:immigration
and baggage claim. Customs declaration was not collected
byapersoninsteaditwastobedroppedintoabox.
Once Soo-chang was out of the gate the airport was
full of police, officers, and people in anti-contamination
clothing. The police asked every passenger their method
of transportation. Although Soo-chang wanted to take the
taxi home, passengers from North America and Europe
wererestrictedfromusingpublictransportationsuchasthe
taxi, bus, and metro. He was only able to take the special
transport bus provided for overseas entrants. This bus had
a four-hour interval. Soo-chang had to wait hours due to
the unexpected change in plans until his parents were able
to come to the airport to pick him up only to drop him off
againforhisself-quarantine.
His district gave his food and continuously checked on
his symptoms. Three days later, he was tested. Negative.
Regardless, he kept in contact through the self-diagnosis
appfortherestofthetwoweeks.
