HUFS Institute of Middle East Studies inaugurated research on the Middle East for the first time in Korea,
and the Interpretation and Translation Institute opened the door to globalization by breaking down language
barriers. HUFS has been initiating new research by a multidisciplinary approach combining linguistics and
area studies, and this has bolstered HUFS’ standing among the world’s universities. Keeping in mind that the
