A strategy to get closer to the center of the world
3-3-3-3
HUFS is implementing the “3-3-3-3 strategy”to cultivate future leaders of the global era. Specifically,
HUFS intends to increase the propotion of foreign faculty, lectures in foreign languages, foreign
students, and Korean students studying abroad for at least one semester to over 30 percent. In this way,
HUFS is nurturing talented students with international acumen and practical capabilities.

studying abroad, and the ratio of foreign exchange students; and second place in
the ratio of lectures taught in English in the 2009 Joongang Daily University Ranking
Evaluation and the Chosun QS Asian University Rankings. Overall, it ranked first in
globalization. The ratio of international faculty among full-time professors stood at
30.8 percent, the highest in the nation. HUFS has the largest number of international
students enrolled in degree programs and is ranked first in diversity of countries where
HUFS students are studying.
Together with the globalization of campuses, the truly extensive scale of HUFS’
international exchange shows that it is nurturing the best global talents of Korea who
have both foreign language skills and expert knowledge.
