Because of high economic growth, and enthusiasm for
education, many freshmen in a small town leave their house
to go to college in the capital area or a major city. So, before
entering university, many college-bound students and their
familiesarebusyfindingboardinghousesneartheirprospective
campus. Students who already enrolled are not different than
freshmen.Buttheycanfindroomsrelativelymoreeasilyandfor
betterrates.
But, finding a boarding house is not the last hassle. Some
studentscanpaythekeymoneyforonesemestertothelandlord,
but there are many who cannot afford the key money. So they
payasuminadvanceasasecuritydepositandpaythebalance
intheformofmonthlyrentalfeesthateventuallycostmorethan
iftheycouldn¡¯tpaythelumpsumatthetimeof occupancy.
This problem leads to other problems including the need to
secure rental money each month plus the attendant stress. This
article is an attempt to showcase the housing situation facing
incomingstudentsbyanalyzingspecificconcerns.
