colleges,alongwithupdatingofthecurriculumthataimstofosterexpertswhowillbeequippedwithqualifications

“ThethreecollegesofGlobalCampus,allofwhicharethesubjectofthechange,arethe‘face’ofGlobalCampus
and part of the identity of HUFS. Even so, the status quo is that those three have no common point?they have
just different names. Other than this, many problems follow: some departments of CIT have no professor who
majoredintranslation,andthecurriculumoftheCITisnotthatdifferentfromthatofCIAorCCEE;also,theold
nameofCCEEandthecurriculumofCIAdonotreflectareastudiesverywell.Tocomprehensivelyaddressthese
issues,specificmeasuresneedtobeconsidered.HUFShasfocusedonnurturingforeignexpertswhocandealwith
diverse languages and regional knowledge. However, these are not enough for the contemporary changes. Those
featureshavetobecombinedwithmoreprofessionalknowledgeandITeducation.Differentfromthepast,Global
Campusisreadytoleadsuchashift.Ihopestudents,whoaretheownersofHUFS,willgetaggressivelyinvolved
inthedecision-makingprocess,understandingthattheydeservesuchanupdatedenvironment.”
The necessity of an alteration has been constantly suggested. This shift will be massive?although
the project is still ongoing, it matters that too little information is available even for the people directly
concerned.Thechangewillbesuccessfulonlywhenalltherelatedpeoplegetsufficientlyinvolvednotonly
in the decision-making process, but also all about the results. Professors are striving to get the project done
andtheyarealsoconsideringaproperdatetoinformthis.Atthemoment,however,itseemsthatpeopleare
worried somehow in the situation that they cannot know about anything. For the project to be successfully
accomplished,itmightrequireanactiveandtimelyinteractionwiththepeoplewhowillbedirectlyaffected
bythechange:thestudents.
