I live in the Globeedorm, and the place where people usually drink is in front of the dorm.
So, ever since I started living here, I have experienced inconveniences because of all the noise.
However,aslongasitonlytakesplaceduringthedaytimeorearlyevening,Iamnotbotheredby
itbecauseitispartofenjoyinglife.Itisthesameforfestivalpubs.Manyotheruniversitiesdoitas
well,andthatisconsideredasapartofstudentlife.Soifthereissomeonewhotakescareofallthe
trashafterthepubhasclosed,Ithinkitisokay.

I think as long as students do not drink excessively, it is okay to drink on campus. It is much
safer than drinking off campus. Also, about prohibiting the opening of a pub during a festival, I
thinkitismeaningless.Peoplebuyanddrinktheirowndrinksatordinarytimesanyway,sowhy
notduringafestival?

I think drinking on campus is okay because it is very normal for university students to be
drinking. Sometimes drinking on campus could be dangerous if you get too drunk, so students
shouldbecarefulwhentheyarenearalakeorotherdangerousplaces.Alsotheyshouldbecareful
not to disturb anyone or anything when drinking. Back at my other school, drinking on campus
wasbanned,buttheschool permittedalcoholwhentherewasaschool event, soit issimilartoour
school.

Therearemanyreasonsdrinkingalcoholoncampusshouldbebanned.Studentsdonotcleanup
after they drink and make a mess of the school. There have been many problems with the noise
from people drinking on campus as well because they disturb students who are trying to study.
Also,drinkingcanleadtoviolenceanddamagetoschoolproperty.
